A Letter from Our Founder

Dear LINGTEA Community,
Every journey begins with a question. Mine was: Can hydration save lives — not just in hospitals, but in the field? That question changed everything.
As a doctor in the Korean Special Forces, I saw firsthand what happens when hydration fails. Soldiers who trained day and night — strong, determined men — collapsing from exhaustion, their bodies breaking down. I treated rhabdomyolysis. I saw preventable kidney damage. I remember carrying dehydrated soldiers down from mountains, hours too late.
I began to ask: Could this be prevented? Could a better solution exist?
In 2016, I brought powdered ORS to the military. For the first time, soldiers could hydrate before collapse — not after. No IV. No hospital. Just science, powder, and water. And it worked.
But what surprised me most was how similar the issue was outside the battlefield.
Today’s world is fast and demanding. People drink coffee instead of water. They skip meals. They push through fatigue. And like those soldiers, they suffer from silent, chronic dehydration — not knowing it’s the root of their headaches, stress, or burnout.
That’s why I founded LINGTEA.
To bring hydration out of the medical tent — and into real life. To build a brand rooted in service, not sales. A brand that supports students, parents, athletes, dreamers — people like you — with the science your body already knows how to use.
“To be the salt and light of the world — that’s my mission. Not just as a doctor, but as a leader.”
At LINGTEA, we’re not just making drinks. We’re building tools for health. We’re forming habits that empower people. And we’re giving back wherever we can. From Special Forces to your desk, your gym, your flight — thank you for letting us be a part of your story.
With gratitude,
Aaron Woncheol Lee
